FAQ
Questions, answered.
Everything about how Zivotta answers your calls, books jobs, and keeps you in control.
- How does Zivotta answer my calls if I don't pick up?
- Two ways, and you choose.
Advertise your Zivotta number(what we recommend). Put it on your website, van and Google listing. Every call rings your mobile first for about 8 seconds — press any key and it's an ordinary call; don't, and Zivotta answers. The timer is ours, so your voicemail never gets in front of it. Nothing to set up on your phone, and it works on every carrier.
Or keep your own numberand set conditional call forwarding — forward on no-answer, busy or unreachable — to the Zivotta number we give you. Nothing changes for existing customers, but your carrier decides how long to ring, and many let voicemail answer first. It's only worth doing if you're willing to ring your provider and have voicemail switched off. - Can it accidentally pick up calls I actually answer?
- No. Your phone always rings first. On your Zivotta number you press any key to take the call and Zivotta steps aside; with forwarding, the call only reaches us after your carrier gives up on you. Either way, a call you answer is never heard by the AI.
- What kind of number do I get?
- A landline in your own state is included — (02), (03), (07) or (08). You can upgrade to an Australian mobile (04xx) for $20/month, which is what most trades advertise, or a free-call 1800 number for $69/month. Change it any time from your dashboard; your old number keeps answering for 30 days so anything already printed still works.
- What happens if I go over my included minutes?
- Nothing stops. Every plan includes 500 call minutes a month, and anything beyond that is added to your next invoice at $0.30 a minute ($0.40 on an 1800 number). We never refuse a call to keep you under a limit — answering them is the entire point.
- How does it know about my business?
- We point it at your website. Zivotta reads your services, hours, service area, and pricing cues, and answers from them — so it sounds like your business, not a generic robot. Change the website and the AI updates with it.
- Does it book into my calendar?
- Yes — you connect your Google Calendar, and bookings land in the right person's own calendar. The AI proposes a suitable time and captures the job; you stay in control of the final confirmation. Every booking and lead is also texted to you the moment the call ends.
- What does it cost?
- Two options: Self-serve at $99/mo (set it up yourself in minutes, $0 setup) or Done-for-you at $349/mo + a one-time $499 setup where we build and tune it for you. Both are simple monthly plans with no lock-in — cancel anytime. One saved job usually covers the whole month.
- How long does setup take?
- Self-serve is minutes: point it at your website, connect your calendar, pick a voice, and start advertising your Zivotta number. Done-for-you, we handle all of it and hand you a working receptionist.
- Will callers know it's an AI?
- It uses a natural voice and answers from your real business info, so most callers simply feel looked after. It's honest and never pretends to be a specific person — it answers as your reception.
- Is my data private?
- Call details are used only to capture the lead, text you, and (if enabled) book the appointment. We don't sell your data, and marketing messages always include an unsubscribe option.
